What Sleep?

What Sleep?

I always wonder, when it will come and when it will stop. See that is our life and constant state of chaos, when we are talking about sleep. I am a mother of three kids, my two boys both are diagnosed on the autism spectrum and sleep is not something they love. Now after years of little to no sleep, I am seasoned when it comes to late nights and early mornings. I survive of coffee, that is how I function. Coffee is a staple in our home and I would not be able to parent my children without it.

See for years, I have researched about sleeping and all the tricks and tips a person can do to help their kids sleep through the night. Nothing worked for us, we tried oils, which was followed by a weighted blanket that failed horribly. Every chance we got to try some product or method to gain sleep, we were doing it. I will be honest, it started to get overly disappointing. Not a thing would work for our boys to get a good nights rest. I became so used to never getting sleep, that the times I did get the chance to sleep, I would stay up and get house work done when really I should be sleeping.

One day, I pray the lack of sleep we get in our home will change and I will be able to share that with all of you. What never worked for us, more than likely will work for you and your family. I think, we just have not found the correct product or routine yet, so we can be a rested and the best version of ourselves.
