The great wait is finally over as Prince Harry and Meghan grant the world a first glance at their baby boy and put an end to all of the rumours and speculations concerning potential name choices. On May 8 2019 the newborn prince was officially introduced as Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
Many had expected the name choice to be of more traditional, conservative nature like Alexander or Philip, but the name Archie is more modern, which suits the royal couple's contemporary spirit.
Deciding on a more present-day name also goes along with Harry and Meghan's choice to not give their son a title, even though they potentially could have done so. Perhaps this is a first sign indicating that the young Archie will not be brought up as a traditional, conventional royal, but with a more current-day and international mindset instead.
Either way, the young British-American prince is looking healthy and adorable and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are beaming with happiness and adoration for their little boy.
We sure cannot wait to see more of young prince Archie and follow Harry and Meghan on their journey of discovering the many joys of parenting.
